Apogee Information Systems Presents the Updated Website of the Biomedical Research Institute (BRI)

Apogee Information Systems has completed the redesign and development of the website for the Biomedical Research Institute (BRI), one of the largest research institutes in Greece. The institute specializes in biomedical topics such as vascular biology, stem cell biology, nuclear organization, biomedical technology, cancer biology, neurobiology, and their applications, particularly in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering. BRI was founded in 1998 under the auspices of the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation (GSRI).

Today, BRI hosts 18 research teams with over 140 members, focusing on areas such as cancer biology, stem cell biology, neurobiology, and biomedical technology. The institute plays a significant role in advancing regenerative medicine and tissue engineering research. It also boasts specialized microscopy facilities, some of which are unique in Greece.

To create a visually appealing and user-friendly environment, Apogee Information Systems has developed a website based on the latest web design techniques that ensure easy navigation. The website allows visitors to explore a wealth of information about the Institute, its ongoing research, programs, achievements, news, and career opportunities.

The Essence content management system, a software developed exclusively by Apogee, was used to power the website. It offers unlimited potential for expansion and future upgrades, a key factor in developing both the website and the Institute, allowing it to evolve reliably in line with current trends.

Various APIs, workflows, and automation processes have been implemented to facilitate this. As a result of Apogee's proposal, the website is now updated daily and automatically with information such as job positions, news, and staff contact details. This helps collect and distribute all necessary information among website members and users while reducing content management time.
