Apogee to Deliver the Next-Generation ENoLL Knowledge Hub
20 January, 2025

Apogee Information Systems has begun developing an improved version of the ENoLL Knowledge Hub, evolving the current platform into a faster, more searchable, and more maintainable repository for publications, toolkits, case studies, and training materials, while keeping day-to-day administration simple and sustainable.

Designed around ENoLL’s practical needs, the new Hub will present resources in a clearer, more structured way so users can quickly grasp, discover, and act on ENoLL’s work. Editors will gain intuitive tools to curate content and refine categories with minimal friction, supported by up-to-date usability and accessibility practices. As part of the delivery, Apogee will provide training and documentation to enable ENoLL staff to manage the platform confidently and independently.

This iteration strengthens discovery with re-engineered search and filters backed by controlled vocabularies. It enriches each record with a broader metadata model (covering media types, topics, usage, and licensing) alongside stable permalinks for reliable citation. Contributions become simpler through guided submission flows, validation rules, and role-based reviews that protect quality without slowing teams down. A lightweight API will make it easier to surface selected resources on ENoLL’s web properties.

The architecture of the upgraded Hub leverages Apogee Essence's modular structure. It is designed for graceful evolution, allowing new capabilities to be introduced without disrupting the service. Continuity is a priority: Apogee will migrate existing content and preserve URLs wherever feasible to safeguard citations and inbound links.

Throughout the project, Apogee will apply an agile approach with short, transparent iterations, maintain clear communication, and carry out thorough testing across code, security, UI/UX, and information access. Operations will be supported by ongoing maintenance and monitoring, with regular updates, backups, and monthly reporting to ensure the platform remains secure, reliable, and aligned to evolving needs.

“This upgrade turns the Knowledge Hub into a living catalogue. It wil be easier to find, cite, and reuse content, while keeping the operational footprint lean,” said Manolis Tsiamitas, Project Lead at Apogee. “We’re focusing on a clean user experience backed by an extensible architecture.”
